The LM2576HV series regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that are ideal for the simple and convenient construction of a step-down switching regulator (buck converter). All circuits in this series are capable of driving a 3.0A load with excellent line and load regulation.
These devices are available withfixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5.0V, 12V, 15V and an adjustable output version.
These regulators were developed with the aim of minimizing the number of external components in order to simplify the design of the power supply.
Standard series of inductors optimized for the LM2576HV are offered by various manufacturers. Features of the LM2576HV include ±4% output voltage tolerance within specified input voltages and output load conditions and ±10% oscillator frequency tolerance.
It has an external shutdown with a standby current of 50µA (typical).
The output switch has cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown for complete protection in the event of a fault.
